I now, the Birdie's Life line has been around for a while, and those who follow me are familiar with it. But since I don't like to stand still (and your well wishes deserve a serious upgrade), I decided to give my cards a nice refresh!
These cards are for everyone who, like me, thinks that greetings deserve a slightly more... robust and personal medium. Christmas is just around the corner (as always, too soon), so the festive section has been updated, but there are also new graphics for all other life occasions.
The design is 100% Birdie's Life, with lots of fresh new graphics added to my classic illustrations. If you are a fan of my slightly out-of-the-box character design, you've come to the right place.
I call them handmade because the work behind them is done with an almost obsessive care, avoiding the "anonymous mass-produced" effect. But the main upgrade came in the size department. I solved the writing space problem: closed, they are a comfortable 15,5 cm by 10,5 cm, but open, they become a beautiful 21 cm of pure expressive freedom. You have a ton of space, and you can even use it for your shopping list, or you can write "Greetings" at least 50 times—it depends on the size of your pen tip, certainly not the card!
Now, every card comes with its own personalized Kraft paper envelope, and they are all hand-stamped on a solid wood table (much to the delight of the downstairs neighbor) STOMP!! STOMP!!, and the whole thing can be sealed with the "Birdie's Life" adhesive sticker (which, if you want, you can also stick on the fridge, or on your forehead... but only if you're not exactly 100% in the right mind).
